David Smith, MBA ABO

Managing Director - Founder

David was born and raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He earned his BA in Geography from the University of Colorado, his MBA from Colorado State University, and is a two-time graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School. 

His optical background began as an optical lab technician and retail associate at a corporate chain in Broomfield, CO before being promoted to an optical lab manager position in Aurora, CO. He specializes in eyewear troubleshooting and comprehensive patient-focused care.

David left corporate optometry in 2016 to become an ABO-Certified Optician and teach Ophthalmic Optics at the Kentucky College of Optometry. He returned to Colorado in 2020 to cofound Krueger Optometry. Currently, he is the managing director of Krueger Optometry and spends most of his time supporting the doctor team at each of the three locations.

David is a former collegiate golfer and an avid international traveler. He likes to spend his free time in the mountains with his wife and daughter.
