What is Myopia?

The eyes of a child with nearsightedness grow faster and longer than they should, causing far away objects to appear blurry. If untreated, the eye becomes weaker and vision often gets worse as the child grows older. Click here for a myopia vision simulator.

You may be making your child’s vision clear again, but did you know it’s possible to keep it from getting worse as they grow?

Other Myopia Management Options

While our preferred method of myopia management is MiSight lenses, there are other options with varying levels of success including atropine drops, multifocal contact lenses, progressive eyeglass lenses, and more. In some cases, we might refer a patient to another specialist if we are unable to meet the myopia control needs of that patient.
